Coheed and Claudio had just been dropped off by their Uncle Delsin. Their spring break became more than they ever hoped for and they couldn’t wait to tell their parents about it. As they walked up the driveway they noticed both their Mom and Dad were standing at the door waiting for them. Harley gave a small wave when she noticed her boys. When they climbed up the steps they also noticed that something was wrong with their parents, especially their Mom. Her eyes were puffy and her nose was red. “Mom, are you okay? You look like you’ve been crying.” Harley smiled sadly and touched Claudio’s cheek, “How about I give you some good news first?” Coheed looked at his parents, confused, “Good news first? Dad what’s the bad news?” Mason glanced at his wife and shook his head, “It’s not for me to say son.” Harley cleared her throat and looked at both of her sons. They had both grown up to be amazing young men and she was so proud of them and all of their accomplishments even if she did get on them all the time about the pranks they pulled. “While you were on spring break you know that the heir poll was going on to see which one of you would be chosen to further our families legacy. Well the results came in yesterday and it was very close but Claudio you’re going to carry us on.” Claudio staggered back stunned. His brother seemed to have his head on his shoulders more than he did and he was surprised that it had been so close. Coheed turned towards his brother and gave him a big bear hug, “Congratulations bro. You definitely deserve it. Now you can make your own mark in our families history for being the first ever musician heir!” Claudio laughed nervously, “Yea I suppose…” Harley leaned over and wrapped both her boys in a tight hug, “Now for the...bad news. While you were away your, um, your Grandmother passed away. I didn’t want to call you and ruin your vacation so I decided to wait until you got back to tell you.” Harley’s eyes brimmed over with tears and she turned around to bury her head into Mason’s shoulder while she quietly started to sobbed. Mason held Harley and looked at his boys, “If you want to go see her and your Grandfather, they’ve already been put down in the family crypt.” In Memory of Celine and Jensen Belle This is the last chapter of Generation 5, thank you all so much for reading!
