Charlotte had just finished packing up all her clothes and decided to sit down in the living room one last time. Absentmindedly she turned on the TV and thought back to yesterdays events. Doing this caused her to smile and look down on the ring that was now on her hand.
C had taken Charlotte out on a date just like any other Saturday, but this day she had something else in mind. The day beforehand she had gone to the nearby jeweler and spent almost every single simoleon to her name to pick out the perfect engagement ring for Charlotte. Of course C wasn't very good at the whole romance thing so she was nervous as what to say when she proposed. What does she say, just yea hey wanna get married? Either way she knew she was going to propose that day and after they had been at the park for a while and the sun began to set she dropped down on one knee.
Charlotte: Do you need to tie your shoe or something?
Nervously C took the ring out of her pocket and showed it to Charlotte,
Charlotte: Wait are you doing what I think you're doing?
C cleared her throat and began what she had rehearsed over and over in her head on the way there,
C: Charlotte ever since I saw you on Simbook I knew I wanted to meet you. I never thought it would have gone this far, or that I would ever even do this sort of thing, but I knew that I wanted to at least see you and see what you were really like. If it wasn't for my sister we would have never been a thing. My whole life I've never met anyone that has made me feel like you do. You know from experience that I'm not that good at explaining my emotions, but today I'm making a stand and going against what I'm used to to ask you this. Charlotte Belle, will you marry me?
Charlotte stood there in shocked silence. She wasn't expecting this sort of thing to happen today, she thought it was just another date! When Charlotte had gotten over her initial surprise she jumped into C's arms and wrapped her arms around her neck.
C: Oomph. I'm taking that as a yes then?
Charlotte: A million times yes! I've been waiting for you to ask me for almost ever!
In a spur of the moment kind of thing, C grabbed Charlotte's hands,
C: Let's get married right now.
Charlotte: Wait here? Right now? You just proposed though!
C shrugged her shoulders.
C: So what? We can get married and move in together and finally live our lives!
Charlotte cocked her head to the side and a smile tugged at the edge of her lips,
Charlotte: Fine. And you say you aren't a romantic!
The two exchanged their vows in that park. In that very moment nothing was there keeping them apart. Not C's bad past or Charlotte's shyness, it was just the two of them in each others arm exchanging spur of the moment vows.
Since Lucy was so old and had so far outlived her husband and her sister-in-law, Charlotte and C both made the decision to move into Charlotte's childhood home. Lucy needed someone to take care of her even if she didn't want to admit it. She was more than happy to have her only daughter stay with her in her final days, considering her son had a house and a kid and another one on the way. Charlotte got a job as a writer and practically forced her mom to retire from the business career. C on the other hand got an honest job as a chef at the near by restaurant. How could life get any better?
