Hello everybody and welcome to the second episode of Simlit TV! Today I have here with me Julyvee94! It's awesome to have you on the show today July, should I call you July? Yeah, that's alright! I'm very happy to be on the show today. So July your Simlit is The Unusual History of Tribe Aryaeo, tell us why you chose to do the Amazon Challenge out of all the challenges out there? Was there something that just caught your eye about it? Well actually it was an Amazon Challenge That brought me to the forums in the first place. I'm sure many others as well as me were inspired by pammiechick and her story of Tribe Wahine. It was featured on a sims blog and that's how found out about Simlit and challenges. I just thought it was so much fun to go get out of my comfort game zone where I just play normal families. The Amazon Challenge was some completely new gameplay to me. And I wanted to share that I'm sure all of us are grateful for that! You have quite a few followers for your story, myself included. So with your story how do you go about writing the chapters? Do you sit down with a bunch of screenshots and plan it out in one day or do you have a plan for a set of chapters at a time? I normally plan out the next chapter. Sometimes I know exactly what it should be like sometimes I only decide about some key moments and the rest will be game driven. Then I get to play. I take some random shots I find interesting and I stage the shots I know I will need for the important parts. Then I check out the random screenshots and see how they could fit in. Then finally I write the chapter. I normally stop playing after I finished a chapter because I have severe screenshot anxiety - the fear that I take too few screenshots and will have to re-stage later. We are definitely different in the screenshot aspect! I feel like I take too many screenshots for my stories, then I have to sift through them all! So with your story, we all know that with the Amazon Challenge you have to start of with a beautiful Creator. How did you go about making yours? Did you have an image in your head when you made her? Well kind of. I wanted my creator to have long black hair and to wear all white. I thought it would be a nice touch to their culture if white signified a Creator's purity. I had no image in mind for her face though. I just wanted her to be beautiful. So I randomized a bit and did a few touch ups. And of course she had to be athletic. Your Creator is very beautiful in my opinion and I think it was a great idea to add white to their wardrobe as a symbol of purity. It puts the Creator on a higher pedestal than the regular slaves and other tribe women. Speaking of slaves, is it hard for you to part with any of them after they breed? Or do you try not to get emotionally attached to any of them? I have to say I thought that it would be easy for me. I'm not a too emotional personal and I normally don't get attached to sims. I was determined to follow the Amazon rules and sacrifice any slaves that bred with the creator. I would only banish the others because I know that sim death is hard to read for some people and I didn't want to have too much of it in my story. But there is one slave, Taam, who I made, I got so attached to him and even though I wanted to set him up with the Creator I didn't want him to die at all. I was so torn, I was postponing updates because I didn't know how to solve the situation! It's the first time I have experienced this when playing sims. New experiences are always the best! Now that we've talked a little about your story let's talk about you. When did you start playing The Sims? I started when Sims 2 was just out. I saved up for a long time so I could buy it. I was about 10 years old at that time. Wow! I started out with the Sims 2 also! Except I got the Double Deluxe edition so it had already been out for a while. Are there any fond memories you have from the Sims 2? Awesome! It really was a great game. Loads and loads of memories probably. I once recreated my real life house and even started creating my own custom content to Match our furniture. That was lots of fun! Really? That's really cool! I never created any custom content but I think my most favorite memory from the Sims 2 is that I played in Veronaville and I actually got the Capulets and the Montagues all the way to generation 13. I think I played that game I little too much! So last question, who is your favorite Sim in your Amazon Challenge story so far? Or any of your past stories that you've done! Ah, I never got so far with my families. I had way too much fun creating new ones. All the drama! You can never play too much Sims! Well, I'm kind of in love with Baato from my Amazon story. He's been around since the beginning and although he's lazy he's still adorable and has a unique character. I sometimes feel bad for all the drama I put him through. I think Baato is a fan favorite, I like him a lot too. He's the most expressive slave that you've created so far in my opinion, and at least there is a little Baato running around in ThePlumbobs Bloomer Legacy! Although he had to deal with a lot of drama in that also. But thank you so much for joining me on the show it was awesome having you here! Yes, I loved how ThePlumbob incorporated him into her story. Pssst, hint, check it out! Thank you too it was great being here today! That's all we have for the show today! Go check out Julyvee94's story "The Unusual History of Tribe Arayeo"! I hope you guys enjoyed and stay tuned for the next episode of Simlit TV. This is iheartdinosx3, signing off!
