It had been fairly quiet in the house ever since the kids sent in their speeches to be published. Most of their time had been spent raising their skills and trying to get A’s in school. Celine was pretty adamant about all her brothers getting good grades so they could get really good jobs. Gretchen didn’t bother interjecting, she completely agreed. Jax got a call from his cousin Opal asking if she could come over. First off he was surprised that she sounded different and even more surprised when she came over and was a teenager just like the rest of them. Jax: Well hey there cuzzo! Welcome to the grown up party! Opal: Oh hush, I just had my birthday at home today and I told my parents I wanted to come over and hang out with you guys. Since you guys are like the ONLY teens I even know. Jax put his hand on his hip and snapped his fingers in a “Z” pattern in the air, Jax: Girl you gotta get out more! Opal: Omygosh really, Jax? So not funny. Jax: *mumbles* Well I thought it was funny… As it turns out today was Cians young adult birthday too! The kids all sat down in the living room to discuss the party plans, Myles: Dude we’re totally gonna trash this house! Jax: Uhhhh you do know Mom is still gonna be here right? Myles: Oh...yea...dang it.. Celine: Why would you even want to trash our house anyways?! We live here and we’d be the ones that had to clean it up! Myles: True… Cian: Always with the bad decisions Myles. Myles: Hey man I just do what comes to mind! Celine: Speaking of things that come to mind, how do you think the voting is going for the heir? Cian: Well I’m not sure since we aren’t allowed to even see the results until it’s all over. Celine: True… At that moment they all heard the doorbell and ring and everyone looked over at Jax expectantly, Jax: What? What! Why do I always have to be the one to go!? No one answered his question and just kept staring at him, then Celine looked at him and pointed at the door, Jax: UGH. When Jax went to answer the door he was super cranky but as soon as he saw who it was he cheered up a bit. Jax: Hey there Izzy! What’s up? Isabella: I just wanted to come over and tell the family that I had gotten married recently and just had a baby! Jax’s mouth dropped open and all he could do was stare at his cousin, Jax: Wait, wait, wait. So the girl who didn’t even know what Woohoo was about a year ago is married with a BABY? Isabella laughed and nodded her head, Isabella: I know it’s crazy right? She is the sweetest little thing though and my husbands name is Kade Wolff, so now I’m known as Mrs.Wolff! How cool does that sound huh?! Jax: I mean that does sound friggin awesome and all but..wait what’s your daughters name? Isabella: Oh well we decided to name her Carlie! She was just born so that’s why I couldn’t bring her over today, she’s with a sitter right now. Jax: Oh well in that case, come on in! I’ll go get my Mom right away and we can all sit down and catch up! I actually just wrote a new comedy routine you wanna hear it? Isabella: Sure! As long as your Mom and Dad are okay with it! By the way when you get famous I better be able to come see you for free! Authors Note: Kade Wolff was my first legacy founder ever in the Sims 4! Since Opal was already at the house the whole family sat down in the living room and caught up on what everyone was doing. Opal and Isabella thought it was weird that Damen was actually being nice, and it was hard for them to get use to not having Angelo around. Soon Gretchen had to excuse herself so she could go prepare dinner and a cake for Cians birthday. She couldn’t believe it was already her firstborns young adult birthday! Where had the time even gone? When the party got started it seemed like everyone starting pouring in at once! The first to arrive were Stark, Grace, and Aldo. The kids were super surprised that Aldo was a teenager just like them, it seemed like everyone was having birthdays around here! Then came Charlotte, C, and Elsa. Elsa decided to make it known that it was almost her young adult birthday too. Since she was always an only child she wasn’t use to not being the center of attention. Last to come over was Castiel, Ruby, and Mark. Opal just asked her Mom to bring a change of clothes over for her since she was already there. Now it was time for the party to get underway! (Yes that is Charlotte and Damen hugging, I was just as surprised as you all probably are!) Aldo sniffed the air and looked around in disgust, Aldo: Good Creator! Do you smell that? Cian: Uh yea...Myles you need to go take a bath dude. Myles: What are you guys talking about I smell fine! Don’t you guys know what a manly musk smells like? Aldo: Myles I don’t think manly musk is supposed to smell like a bucket of farts. Celine: AH! Elsa what the plum man?! Why did you throw a drink on me?! Elsa: Mwahahaha! Celine: That’s not even cool! That was SoolAid! Now I have to go change my shirt! Elsa: Awww come on Cici don’t be like that! I’ll help you dry off okay? Celine rolled her eyes and sighed, Celine: Fiiiiiiiine, just don’t do it again! While everyone was hanging out with extended family Damen decided to take this moment to give his first son a big ol’ hug and congratulate him, Damen: I just wanted to let you know I’m really proud of you son. I don’t think I could have asked for a better first kid! You hardly cried at all when you were born and you were always so studious as a child. Congrats on your birthday kiddo. Cian: Aw Dad. You don’t have to say all that! I appreciate it though and I’m glad you could actually be here for this birthday. Damen: Me too kid, me too… Damen felt awful, he was old and decrepit and realized how much he missed out on in life. He wasn’t there for almost every single one of his kids birthdays, and he was hardly ever there to raise them. Slowly he slid onto the sofa and closed his eyes. Damen: Hopefully the next generation will do a better job than I have.. Charlotte and C were helping Gretchen in the kitchen when they stepped out for a quick second to sneak a little kiss in. C: Aw hunny, you spoil me with those. Charlotte: Well you of all people deserve a little lovin’! While Charlotte and C were sharing a moment outside of the kitchen, Gretchen was whipping up some delicious sherbet for Cians birthday. She had never made this recipe before and called the birthday boy in to taste test it. Gretchen: So I already made you a cone and this is Rainbow Sherbet with an orange slice and nuts. Tentatively Gretchen and Cian bit into the sherbet. Cians eyes went wide and he took an even bigger bite. With a mouth full of sherbet he looked at his Mom, Cian: Holy cowplant Mom, this stuff is amazing! Gretchen: Don’t talk with your mouth full sweetheart, but you really like it? Cian: Heck yea I do! This is probably my new favorite food! When everyone had eaten their share of sherbet and rack of lamb it was finally time for the birthday boy to blow out his candles! Cian: Here it goes! Adulthood here I come! Celine: Oooooo I think I put trick candles on there, I can’t remember! Gretchen: Heheheh, No I put the trick candles on there! Cian: Oh for Creator's sake Mom! Here we have fully grown up Cian! He turned out to be super handsome and looks eerily similar to his Dad and Grandpa. Cian also decided to grow out a little stubble since he was all into the ruggedness of nature and everything. His final trait that he rolled was Perfectionist. When most of the guests had filed out of the house Celine decided to take a moment and enjoy a slice of chocolate cake. Celine: This one is for you gramps. I know how much you would love to be eating this right now. Wherever you are I hope you get to eat as much of Grandma's chocolate cake as you want! After cleaning up the giant mess that was always created during Belle get togethers, Gretchen caught her son just in time to ask him a very important question. Gretchen: Cian, your father and I read your speech and realized that you put in that you didn’t want to do anything but fish all the time. You know that if you win you’ll have to get a job right? This houses bills are way to large to just survive off of fishing alone and your wife's salary. Maybe in the later generations that will be possible but our legacy is still fairly new and we don’t have that much money in the bank as it is! Cian: Relax Mom! I’ve gotten pretty good at fishing and can bring in some big hauls. If I do win don’t worry about anything! Gretchen: But Cian- Cian: I gotta get to bed Mom, I’ll talk to you in the morning. Gretchen sighed as she watched her son walk up the stairs, Gretchen: What am I gonna do with that boy… With Cian as an adult now the other kids were sad because they had lost someone to hang out with. One morning , when they were hurriedly trying to catch up on their homework before school, Myles finally broke the silence. Myles: Man this is a load of plum! All Cian wants to do anymore is fish, and when you try and talk to him it’s always fish this, and fish that, and fishfishfishfishFISH. I am so sick of it! Celine: Listen Myles, we are all kinda sick of Cian talking about fish all the time. I for one am sick of that awful fishy smell he comes home wearing, it’s gag inducing! But what we all have to remember is that that is apart of his aspiration. He just really loves to fish! Jax: He really loves to fish? No I think he’s OBSESSED with it! Have you even seen the spare bedroom he’s staying in? He’s decorated the walls with MOUNTED FISH. It’s like a friggin fish slaughterhouse in there! Celine: Woah! A little too much detail there bro! Anyways let’s just get our homework done, you guys made me stay up playing videogames with you all night and I completely forgot! Myles: Hey now! Don’t act like you didn’t love playing R.E.F.U.G.E with us! We make the best team on there though. Jax & Celine: For real though. Unbeknownst to Cian that he was being talked about, he was just sitting at the river relaxing and fishing. Again. And man does he look happy about doing it too! In the middle of the school day Gretchen decided to celebrate her elder birthday by herself. She really didn’t feel like letting a bunch of people see her get all old and saggy, that’s just weird. Gretchen: AW WHAT?! I must have grabbed the wrong candles and put trick ones on...guess it serves me right for doing it to Cian then! Still lookin’ as sassy as ever Gretchen! About a week later it was time for yet another birthday in the Belle family! This time it was Myles young adult birthday and boy was he excited. Myles: Mom I just wanted to tell you that you look absolutely stunning today! Gretchen raised her eyebrow, Gretchen: Mhm. So what do you want mister? Myles: Welllll I was just wondering if you could make that really good chocolate cake that you made for Cians birthday again! Gretchen: Already on it kiddo. Myles gave his Mom a big hug and kissed her on the cheek, Myles: Thank Mom you’re the best! I’m gonna go hang around with the family now! Gretchen was surprised at the sudden burst of kindness that her son showed. He was a lot like his father in the way that he didn’t really show that much emotion towards anyone. It warmed her heart inside to see her son so happy today. While that sweet exchange was going on in the other room an even more awkward one was going on in the dining room. C: So you’re telling me you don’t want to support your family with a real job? Cian: Auntie C, fishing IS a real job! C: Child no it is NOT. What happens when you meet a pretty little lady and you guys have a baby? You gonna put food in that child's mouth by fishing? I don’t think so! Celine: Oooooo tell ‘em Auntie! Cian: Why am I being targeted here?! When the ice cream was ready and so was the food everyone gathered into the kitchen to grab some bowls. Of course Celine and Cian went straight for the ice cream instead of having a real meal first. Priorities man, I tell ya. Elsa: Yea I totally met this really amazing guy named Skylen but I’m not sure if I’m really serious about him yet. He is sooooooo clingy! Celine: Awww that’s so sweet though! Now that you’re a young adult you can settle down and everything! Elsa: Pfft, don’t even get me started on that part. He wants to have kids and EVERYTHING! I’m like dude I just aged up, calm that down. Cian: *mumbles* Girls are weird… In other news it looked like the kids weren’t the only ones enjoying the ice cream. Stark: Oh sweet unicorn sparkles this is fabulous! I must take some home to show the leprechauns in the backyard! Ruby: This family is a little too much for me sometimes. Near the end of the party it was finally time for the candles to be blown out! (A little sidenote here, but look at how old everyone has gotten! It makes me so sad!) Gretchen: YEA WOOOO! Blow out the candles baby! C: Happyyy Birthdaaaay to youuuuuuu! Grace: And people say I’m crazy at parties. Finally for the last birthday in this chapter we have the all grown up Myles! Funny enough is that, just like his brother, he also gained the Perfectionist trait! As soon as he aged up he also went into the entertainer career just like he wanted to.
