The encounter with Amber was forgotten in the sea of arrangements that needed to be made for the wedding. Harley helped her future sister-in-law the best she could but with no wedding planning experience it was basically a whole lot of guessing. When the big day finally arrived Harley was late getting there because Coheed and Claudio were so against wearing their tuxedos they wouldn’t hold still for the seamstress to put them on and get the final touches done. Harley was tripping over herself because she was trying to rush the boys inside so they wouldn’t miss the ceremony. Claudio stopped dead in his tracks which caused Harley to stop, “Momma this tux thingy is itchy and hot! I don’t wanna wear it!” Harley smoothed out her baby boy's hair and cupped his face in her hands, “Can you do it for just a few hours? For Mommy?” Coheed smirked as he continued to walk towards the wedding venue, “Yea Claudio, grow up and deal with it! I LIKE my suit Momma.” Claudio stomped his foot and yelled at his brother, “If you like it so much then why did YOU fight that seamstress lady so much!” Harley massaged her temples while letting out a long sigh, “Enough boys. I think you both look very handsome and as soon as we get home we’ll all snuggle up in front of the fireplace with as many blankets as we can find and watch a movie with some popcorn, okay?” Coheed and Claudio immediately perked up at the thought of spending extra time with their Mom and ended up saying at the same time, “Yes ma’am!” With the party more than underway, with a few random guests, Harley slide in unnoticed and started dancing on the dance floor with everyone else. “Omygosh! I thought you weren’t gonna make it Harley! Let me guess. The boys were giving you trouble again?” Delsin raised an eyebrow and looked down at his nephew, “Coheed. Were you being mean to the seamstress again?” Since Delsin was the only father figure he had in his life, naturally Coheed was scared of him when he got serious, “Uh-uh-uh y-yes sir...Only ‘cus she was being so rough!” Claudio threw his hand in the air with a big smile on his face, “I did good though Uncle Delsin! I only acted up a little bit! Momma can tell you! Didn’t I do real good Momma?” Celine was looking back at her family as the whole scene unfolded before her. Even though Coheed and Claudio didn’t have a father they were growing up just fine. With Delsin acting as their Dad she knew they would grow up to be amazing men. In the middle of her thought she caught the eye of Jensen. Jensen winked at her and proceeded to answer Claudio, “I know you did great champ! You have to remember that you and your brother are both amazing though and life isn’t a competition.” Coheed and Claudio groaned at the same time. To them, Grandpa would never understand, “Yes Grandpa.” Harley was in her own little world. She had completely zoned out while dancing and was focused on her thoughts. She was wondering what it would be like if Mason wasn’t gone. Would the boys be any different? Would it have been Mason to scold Coheed for not behaving instead of Delsin? Harley felt a pain in her chest as her throat tightened, Would it even be Callie’s wedding right now? Or would it have been her own. On the brink of tears she excused herself from the dance floor and rushed into the bathroom. She couldn’t let her boys see her cry again. Just as Harley was rushing into the bathroom she bumped into Callie who was coming out. Callie looked sick to her stomach and Celine became automatically worried for her future daughter-in-law. “Sweetheart are you okay? You look like you’re about to keel over!” Callie laughed nervously, “I’m fine...I think. It’s just..it’s been so long since me and Delsin first got together and we’ve never done anything past kissing...I was scared too you know? But...what if now...after tonight it’ll all be different?” Celine shook her head and grabbed Callie’s arms, “Listen to me honey. Delsin is a good boy, and I’m not just saying that because I’m his Mother. He made some mistakes when he was a teenager but that’s in the past. That...girl...is in the past. I know you’re the one for him by the way he looks at you. It’s not lustful Callie, it’s the look that someone gives you when they are absolutely head over heels in love with you.” Callie cocked her head to the side and smiled a little, “You really think he looks at me like that?” “Honey, I KNOW he looks at you like that. It’s written all over his face. So how about you get your little butt back to your own wedding party and celebrate!” Harley had come out of the bathroom, but not before she fixed her makeup. She knew by now what to do so it didn’t look like you had just been crying. Of course the one who always knew though was Hazel. “I know you’ve been crying again.” Harley continued to dance and tried to produce a smile, but it came out looking like she was in pain, “Hazel not now please.” “Yes Hazel now please! It’s your brother's wedding Harley! Stop thinking about Mason! I know it’s hard to when you look at those boys but just try. At least for today.” “He hasn’t sent any letters in a while Hazel…” “That either means he’s an absolute plum. Or something is wrong. Hey! I’m being honest so don’t give me that look. I know you were thinking it too.” Harley glanced over at her boys who were trying to have a dance off between each other, but it just looked like them flailing their arms and she couldn’t help but laugh, “You’re right Hazelnut. I’m not gonna think about it right now. This should be a happy day, not another one filled with my tears.” A couple more hours passed and everyone was getting antsy for the ceremony to begin.
Delsin walked over to Callie and caressed her cheek, “You ready to become Mrs.Belle?” Callie’s heart fluttered in her chest, “I’ve never been more ready for anything in my life.”
