Callie and Delsin embraced each other in a passionate kiss. “This is everything I’ve wanted.” Delsin thought to himself as his arms wrapped tighter around his love. Callie pulled away from him with a giant smile on her face, “I still can’t believe you did all this for me!” Delsin shrugged his shoulders and winked, “My baby needs to look good. I’m glad you like the makeover though.” Callie threw her hands up in the air and turned around in a circle, “My makeover?! That doesn’t even begin to explain what you did for me! I mean you converted one whole room of the basement into a little house for us! I can’t imagine how much money that even took…” “Callie, you’re going to be my wife. There’s no need to worry about money anymore. You’ll be apart of a legacy, and this legacy has A LOT of money lying around. Harley even told me that she was thinking about remodeling all the rooms in the house soon.” Callie shook her head in amazement, “Who would have thought that little ol’ me would be apart of something this big.” After a few days of getting everything moved in that Callie owned, which wasn’t that much, Delsin got an unexpected call from his cousin Chance (who is the grandson of Castiel). Chance wanted to have them over for supper because his Dad, Mark, was getting to the end of his days and wanted to spend it with his family. Delsin was really confused. Why didn’t they just come over to the Estate? Also, why did they only invite Delsin and Callie? As they were sitting on the sofa Mark came out and smiled nervously at the two of them. Delsin and Callie shrugged their shoulders at each other, but Delsin caught out of the corner of his eye Mark glaring at Chance. The next thing Delsin saw was Amber strolling out of the study. Callie took one look at her, closed her eyes and turned her head towards Delsin, “What.the.plum.” Amber was all smiles as she walked out until she saw the two of them sitting together on the sofa. Amber suddenly recoiled in shock. She was just as confused as to what they were doing there in HER house! She hadn’t invited them and she didn’t want Delsin to see what kind of...situation she was in. Amber wasn’t having ANY of it. She wasn’t backing down from a fight! They must have found out somehow. They were the legacy family and they had connections. She slowly walked to the sofa and sat down, all the while glaring at Callie. “What are you doing in my house.” Callie kept her usual poise. There was no way she was going to let this girl get to her now. “We were invited by Chance. I see you are...expecting.” Amber scoffed and tossed her hair to the side, “Unfortunately I am. It was a mistake and there was nothing I could do about it. This baby WOULD be Delsin’s if it wasn’t for you!” Callie’s facade cracked ever so slightly as the corner of her smile twitched, “You were cheating on him Amber. Evidently with his own cousin who you happened to get knocked up by. Don’t blame me for all the wrong things you’ve done with your life.” Amber raised a finger to Callie’s face. She was seething with anger now. Why wasn’t this girl getting mad?! “Don’t you patronize me little miss goodie two shoes. I GAVE him what he wanted. All he wants is your body Callie. That’s what ALL men want. And once they have it they’ll leave you stranded.” Amber pointed down to her burgeoning belly, “Unfortunately if you aren’t careful, mistakes are made.” Callie had no idea what to say. She didn’t like Amber, not one bit, but she couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. What had gone so wrong in her life to make her like this? Everyone in the room was dead silent as they all watched a very pregnant and angry Amber stomp towards the kitchen. Amber slammed the refrigerator door shut after she grabbed a glass of milk. As she took little sips her anger and frustration was reaching new heights.
“I never wanted to get pregnant. For plums sake I never even wanted to fool around with Chance, but he wouldn’t stop pestering me so I gave in. Then he kept coming back and back again, then it turned into just part of my daily routine.” She glared down at the life that was growing inside of her, “Then you happened. YOU ruined my chance at being Delsin’s wife all over again.” Amber leaned against the door frame continuing to sip her milk as she watched Delsin and Callie part, hand in hand. She whispered words filled with so much anger, but quiet enough so only she could hear, “That should be me.”
