Things weren't going very well at the Belle Estate. Charlotte had become an outcast in her own house. Since she was the only little girl in the house she ended up playing by herself. The boys, even her brother, didn't want to play with her. That didn't stop Charlotte from trying to become friends with them. Charlotte: Hey guys can I play the winner? Damen: No we're going to keep playing, plus your brother already called winner. Castiel: Well I mean you can with us tomorrow. Damen: Cas! No she can't! She's boring and just likes to draw stuff! Castiel: Uh.. Charlotte: That's okay, Cas....I'm just going to finish my homework and go to bed... When Charlotte finished her homework she passed her dad on the way upstairs. James noticed she was trying not to cry and knew exactly what had happened. It hadn't been the first time that this stuff happened between the boys and Charlotte. Frankly he was getting fed up with it. If Sunny couldn't get a reign on her boys then he would have to talk to them himself. James: Damen you have to stop picking on Charlotte, do you understand? Damen: I can't help it, she's easy to pick on. James: Okay, listen. I understand that you're evil, but you have to learn to fight that feeling, okay? Damen: Why would I fight who I am? Maybe you should teach Charlotte to stick up for herself. We all know the reason you're so bitter is because you didn't win the spot of heir. That was the last straw with James, he couldn't stand how Damen acted it was making him so mad that he picked on his only daughter. James: NOW YOU LISTEN HERE DAMEN BELLE- Sunny: Who the plum do you think you are to yell at my son?! James's words caught in his throat as Sunny came into the living room with a plate of food. James: You're son is being mean to Charlotte again, and I think he's the reason that the other two are mean to her also! Sunny: You do understand that he's evil, right? He can't help it sometimes. James: It's not sometimes, Sunny, it's ALL the time! Sunny: I'm not having this argument with you again James, I can reprimand my own son. You have no right to yell at him. He is MY son. Not yours. Flustered to the point of not being able to speak James got up and left the room. Once he left Sunny had a stern talking to her son, again. It made her feel bad that her son was mean to her niece and she tried to tell him that she was family and they needed to stick together but he was such a handful and wasn't taking control of his evil personality. There was only so much she could do. No one knew but Angelo was standing outside the living room the entire time, listening to what was going on. When everyone left he acted like he had just gotten there and sat down on the sofa to eat the rest of his food. Before he could, Lucy came in and started to talk to him. Lucy: Hey, Angelo! How are you? Angelo took a deep breath and tried to add a chipper tone to his voice. Angelo: Oh I'm fine, just eating some dinner then heading to bed. She wasn't buying that he was doing okay, she had been around Angelo and Sunny both enough to know when they were upset. Lucy: What's wrong? Angelo: Nothing, nothing at all. Ya know what? I'm not hungry right now so I think I'm just going to head to bed. The next morning Sunny was cooking breakfast for everyone when Castiel came downstairs and Sunny wanted to ask him some questions. Sunny: Cas can you come here? Castiel: Yea momma what do you need? Sunny: Who's the one that gets everyone to be mean to Charlotte? Castiel: I...uh... Sunny: Hunny you won't get in trouble, I promise. Castiel: Well Damen starts it, and then Stark gets in on it. I try to get them to stop or tell them she can play with us tomorrrow, but they don't listen to me. Sunny: Thank you hunny, go get the boys and Charlotte and tell them breakfast is ready. After everyone had eaten breakfast Sunny needed a drink, it was a little early but she didn't care. She was stressed out and needed something to soothe her nerves. She had no idea what to do about James. He was her only brother but she knew that he was changing. He wasn't nice anymore, not even to Lucy. He was distant and hardly talked to his kids, he was also gone most of the time. Sunny was becoming increasingly frustrated. She didn't want him and his family to leave the house but he wasn't giving her much of choice. She knew that her son was a handful but she still loved him, and protected him from everything, including her brother. Days passed with Sunny and James never talking to each other. When they got in the same room the tension was so thick you could cut it with a butter knife. No one wanted to be around them when they were in the same room anyways because they were afraid yelling would start to happen again. Lucy noticed this more than anybody and decided to talk to Sunny when she was outside taking care of the flowers. Lucy: Hey Sunny can I talk to you about something? Sunny: Yea, what's up? Lucy: I noticed you and James haven't been talking. Sunny: I could say the same for you too. Lucy: Oh... Sunny: Sorry..I didn't mean that. I'm just frustrated with him a lot right now and he isn't trying to change how he acts. Lucy: I know but can't you guys just make up? He's your only brother. Sunny: You don't think I've tried? How would you feel if I went and yelled at Stark, or even Charlotte? Lucy: I wouldn't like that at all. Sunny: Exactly! He does that all the time with Castiel and Damen. He even does it to Stark and Charlotte! You need to get him under control or talk some sense into him, Lucy, because I can't. Inside the house Stark and Charlotte were working on their homework, Charlotte: Hey Stark, can you take me to the park after we're done with our homework? Stark: Why? I want to play with Damen and Cas. Charlotte: You just can drop me off, but I don't want to walk there by myself... Stark: Okay, whatever. With their homework done Stark begrudingly led Charlotte to the park. Stark: Okay! We're here now, I'm leaving! Charlotte wasn't expecting such a mean outburst from her brother, and somewhere deep inside of her, something snapped. Charlotte: I AM SO SICK OF YOU AND DAMEN ALWAYS YELLING AT ME. THE ONLY ONE THAT EVEN ACTS LIKE HE CARES IS CASTIEL AND HE'S NOT EVEN MY BROTHER. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I'M YOUR SISTER, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT ME. Stark was shocked by his quiet sisters outburst and stumbled over his words to try and cool her down, Stark: I, uh- Charlotte was so angry that tears were rolling down her cheeks and she wasn't even sad! She was so fed up with the boys being mean to her. She just wanted someone to play with even if they weren't girls. Charlotte: Don't even say anything to me, leave me alone... Stark, still in shock, could just nod his head and head down the sidewalk home. He left his sister to play on the playground by herself until bedtime. The next morning the fighting wasn't over, in fact it reached a boiling point. James had heard from Lucy that Sunny told her to tell him to calm down and bring a reign in on his anger and attitude. He was so mad that he couldn't sleep the rest of the night and the next day, when he first saw Sunny he couldn't help it but yell at her. James: Who the PLUM do you think you are to tell my wife what to do? Sunny: James. Not in front of the kids. Let's go outside. Charlotte: Daddy...? James: I'll be back Charlotte. James: I HAVE a hold of my anger and attitude, or whatever you want to call it. Maybe YOU should get off your high horse and stop acting like the almighty just because you're the heir! Sunny had, had enough of all the mean and ungrateful things James had said over the past months. She was done. Sunny: You listen to me, and you listen good. I WON the spot for heir because I EARNED it. I LET you stay in MY house with your family because family comes first to me. I BUILT you and Lucy you're own room. You are the most ungrateful person I know and I want you OUT OF MY HOUSE. James: But- Sunny: NO BUTS. I WANT YOU OUT OF HERE BY TOMORROW MORNING. James knew he messed up but he still was beyond angry, he went up to the yoga room to try and explain to Lucy what had happened. James: My sister kicked us out of the house! Can you believe that plum! Lucy: What did you say to her? James: I mean...I did start to yell at her.. Lucy: James that's just it. You have anger management problem and this is what it all stems down to. Why do you think our marriage is failing? You don't spend time with me and the kids and when you do you get mad over the silliest things. Maybe us leaving will give us a new lease on life? James: I suppose you're right...I'll go start packing out things. I just want out of this house, and away from HER. Lucy went downstairs to see Sunny and try and figure out what really had happened, James was to angry still to correctly explain it. Sunny: Hey Lucy...I'm guessing you heard what happened. I just want you to know it's not because of you or Charlotte or Stark. Charlotte: What's not about me? Lucy: Sweetheart go upstairs and play, okay? Charlotte: Okay mommy! Lucy: I know it's not your fault either Sunny, I'm not sure what has happened to James but he isn't then guy I fell in love with, or even married. Sunny: I still want you guys to come around. Don't let James stop you, okay? Lucy: Believe me I won't. But I think this might be a good thing for us. Me and James can repair our marriage and you and Angelo have the house to yourselves! Sunny: I guess you're right...but I'll miss you Lucy. Like a lot. Call me everyday okay? Lucy: Of course I will, just because we aren't related by blood doesn't mean we aren't sisters. After that discussion Lucy called all the kids downstairs to tell them what was happening. Lucy: Kids I just wanted you guys to know that me, Uncle James, Stark, and Charlotte are moving away from the house and getting a place of our own. The room erupted into a bunch of questions from every which way, Stark: Wait we're MOVING. Charlotte: Do I still get to keep my own room? Damen: You can't leave! Stark is part of our group! Castiel: I'll miss you guys... After everything had calmed down and the kids all got their questions answered Stark and Charlotte went to play upstairs in the playroom one last time before they had to leave the house. Charlotte: Do you think we'll have our own playroom at our new home? Stark: I hope so...Do you think mom and dad will let us come over here and play? Charlotte: I know mommy will, I'm not sure about daddy. He's been really mean lately.... Stark: Yea, I know... Lucy spent all night looking through houses in Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, and Newcrest. She finally found one that was affordable for them. James had just enough money saved up, plus the money he got from his inheritance, to buy a small house with just enough bedrooms for the three of them. The next morning everything was being put in the moving and James and Lucy were sitting in the kitchen one last time before they had to leave to their own house. Lucy: You should go say goodbye to your sister, James. James: No. She kicked us out, I don't want to see her face ever again. Lucy: She's family... James: Family wouldn't kick other family out on the street. Lucy: I'm not going to argue with you again about this. Finish your breakfast and I'll meet you in the car. When everyone left Damen finally came downstairs and sat down at the kitchen table. No one knew but he was looking from the upstairs window the entire time they were moving out. Damen: Dad...are they gone because of me? Angelo didn't want to hurt his sons feelings, but in all honesty he was only part of the reason. Angelo: Eat your food Damen. The other side of the Belles reached there home all the way across Newcrest and just stared at the front door. No one wanted to go in first because no one really wanted to leave. The first one to move was James and he marched through the front door with a grim look on his face.
Lucy: Welcome home kids...we'll make the best of it. I promise.
