Clara went crazy on remodeling the house once she got permission to do the whole thing. So far she had remodeled the main living room, the hot tub area and basically the whole back yard. On top of all that she hired people to come and redo the paneling on the outside of the house! Nobody in the family minded because they knew that she was just trying to keep her mind preoccupied from what had happened.
While Clara was gutting the house, Coheed and Margot stuck to what they said and found a house to rent out right down the street from the rest of the family.
“Bro you know you can stay here as long as you want. We have plenty of room and you can even take Uncle Delsin and Aunt Callie’s old room in the basement if you want.”
Coheed laughed and shook his head adamantly,
“It’s your time to shine brother! Plus me and Margot want to spend time together without anyone else around. You know just watch movies and eat a whole large pizza by ourselves, that sort of thing.”
Clara raised her hands and shrugged,
“And you’re telling me you don’t love a guy who says that? Come on Margot!”
Margot blushed and pouted,
Everyone burst into laughter except for Margot who continued to pout,
“But seriously Claudio. I’m right down the road and I’ll come by often. Don’t miss me to much!”
“Well considering we’ve been together since we were in utero it’ll be kind of hard not having you around anymore. I’ll miss you brother.”
Coheed sighed and smiled sadly,
With Coheed gone nothing really changed in the house. Clara and Claudio still spent their days outside working on their hobbies. Claudio was working his way up the musician ladder and was getting more famous with every jingle he wrote. Clara on the other hand was already a major success in the art industry even though she had just started. People were clamoring for her works.
Now their nights? Well that was a different story all in itself. Ever since the day after Clara got there they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. They would both be talking normally one minute and the next they were all over each other. Their chemistry was outrageous and everyone who saw them together could tell right off the bat.
Because of that Claudio had one question that was itching at the back of his mind, but he didn’t know how to ask it. So who else did he got to but his Dad to figure it out.
“So how do you propose to someone?”
“How do you propose to someone? Do you just like say “Hey wanna get hitched”?
Mason raised his hands and cringed,
“Please for the love of everything don’t propose to Clara like that. With as many girlfriends as you’ve had I would have thought you knew how to woo a girl.”
“Those other girls weren’t like her Dad! I just don’t want to mess this up and her end up saying no to me!”
Mason chuckled and patted his son’s arm,
“Trust me son. We can all see how she looks at you and I don’t think that’s even in the cards. Just do what you think is best. Take her out to eat at a nice restaurant , and put the ring on a bread stick in a basket. I don’t know! I just did what felt right to me when I proposed to your Mom.”
Claudio breathed in deeply and exhaled,
“Okay I got this. Just do what feels right! Yea I can totally do this.”
Claudio wasn’t the only one with a surprise to tell though.
Clara inhaled sharply as she looked down at the results,
